Sue Jackson Founder of Wokingham In Need was contacted by Troy Rahme a member of BNI – Loddon – the world’s leading business networking and referral organisation. He invited Sue to a meeting to tell the story of Wokingham In Need and what they had achieved and projects that were being organised. After hearing full details the chapter wanted to assist Wokingham In Need and organised a charity event which took place on December 12from 6.30am – 8.45am.
The chapter members were especially interested in a project which is about to be launched by Wokingham In Need which is a Sensory Garden for Adults with learning disabilities. So the members organised a sensory quiz and a just giving page was set up as well as collecting cash donations on the day.
What a success this morning meeting was as they managed to raise over £300 for the project and also wish to hear more from Sue and her team in relation to what Wokingham In Need wish to achieve.
Sue thanked the group for their valued support and expressed what a caring and professional group of people they were, it was an absolute pleasure to be a part of their group and indeed she said she would be interested to join them again.
Take a look at some pictures of the event showing you can have fun whilst helping people – indeed if you have a smile you can reach out to others. – Thank you BNI Loddon.
